Faith Academy Inc. is hiring: Lead Teacher in Clinton

We are seeking a Lead Teacher to join our organization! This individual will plan and present age-appropriate activities for children.

Pay will be based on experience/education.

Job Qualifications:

• Graduate of high school or its equivalent.
• Credential, and AA in Early Childhood Education.
• Preferred experience in teaching preschool and/or pre-adolescent children, including disabled children.
• Must be able to supervise and evaluate teacher assistant staff.
• Passionate about working with children
• Positive and patient demeanor
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Job Responsibilities:

• The planning and executing of age-appropriate activities for children in their care and identifying each child's individual capabilities and needs, to include weekly lesson plans. (Lesson plans must be submitted to the administrator on Friday for the following week)
• Creating a learning environment, assuring the welfare, health and safety of each child.
• Organizing and maintaining classroom activities, materials and supplies and keeping the Administrator aware of materials in short supply or any equipment or furniture that may need to be replaced.
• Cleaning and maintaining their classroom to satisfy sanitation standards.
• Constant supervision of children.
• Daily recording of health checks, attendance and paperwork pertaining to the food programs documentation required for meals served.
• Training and supervision of teachers' assistant.
• Establishing and maintaining effective and positive communication with parents and or guardians.
• Building a good relationship with coworkers, to maintain a professional environment.
• Attending In-Services as required.
• Understanding of NC Child Care requirements.
• Reporting and documenting of all incidents and or injuries regarding children to the center administrator.Create a fun and safe learning environment
• Develop schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents
• Communicate with parents on students' growth and progress
• Maintain the health and safety of all students
