Wildflower Preschool is hiring: Classroom Teacher in Westbrook

Summary

Wildflower Preschool is a brand-new early childhood program opening in September 2025. We are seeking a dedicated teacher to join our toddler program, serving children ages 2–3. Our curriculum is play-based, child-led, and deeply rooted in early literacy and the creative arts.

Duties

• Assist in planning and implementing engaging learning experiences that emphasize play, early literacy, sensory exploration, creative arts, and child-led inquiry.
• Foster a nurturing, safe, and developmentally responsive environment.
• Support a classroom of 5 toddlers with warmth, consistency, and care.
• Assist in documenting children’s learning and development; maintain individual portfolios.
• Build strong, respectful relationships with families through ongoing communication.
• Collaborate with fellow educators to support the school’s shared vision.

Requirements

• Experience working in an OEC-licensed early childhood center
• Strong understanding of developmentally appropriate practice
• Excellent observation, documentation, and communication skills
• A deep belief in respectful, relationship-based teaching

Nice To Haves
