Position Summary:
We are seeking a caring and attentive Infant Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that fosters healthy development in infants. This role requires patience, compassion, and a deep understanding of infant care and early learning.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide attentive, responsive, and nurturing care to infants including feeding, diapering, and soothing.
Develop and implement age-appropriate activities to encourage sensory, motor, language, and social development.
Foster a warm, inclusive, and emotionally supportive classroom environment.
Monitor, document, and assess each child’s development to provide individualized support.
Establish strong, trusting relationships with parents/guardians through open communication and progress updates.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized learning space in line with health, safety, and licensing requirements.
Integrate daily routines into meaningful learning opportunities.
Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance curriculum and share best practices.
Track attendance, maintain developmental records, and prepare reports as needed.
Participate in ongoing training, professional development, and staff meetings.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
Infant/Toddler Child Development Associate (CDA) credential is a strong advantage.
Prior experience working with infants in a licensed childcare or educational setting.
Strong knowledge of infant growth and developmental milestones.
Ability to adapt caregiving approaches to individual needs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Warm, patient, and compassionate demeanor.
CPR and Pediatric First Aid certification (preferred).
