Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team. This position is ideal for an energetic, creative individual who is committed to providing a nurturing, developmentally appropriate, and culturally responsive learning environment for preschool-aged children. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in Head Start Performance Standards and passionate about fostering each child’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development to ensure school readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement The Creative Curriculum for Preschool

  • Create a warm, inclusive classroom atmosphere that supports learning through play, exploration, and hands-on experiences.

  • Use individualized instruction and positive behavior guidance strategies to meet the unique needs of each child.

  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation on child progress, attendance, and assessments in accordance with program requirements.

  • Foster strong partnerships with families by maintaining open communication and encouraging family involvement in the educational process.

  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children by following all licensing regulations and organizational policies.

  • Collaborate with teaching assistants, support staff, and administrators to ensure high-quality program implementation.

  • Participate in ongoing professional development, training sessions, and team meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (CDA credential considered with relevant experience).

  • Working knowledge of the Creative Curriculum for Preschool, the Head Start Performance Standards, and early childhood best practices.

  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a preschool or early childhood education setting.

  • Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to plan, organize, and implement engaging and developmentally appropriate activities.

  • Must successfully pass all required background checks.

  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire).

  • A sincere passion for working with young children and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
