This role offers an opportunity to make a lasting difference in children’s lives by guiding their social, emotional, academic, and physical development through Montessori principles.

The Preschool Teacher is responsible for designing and leading hands-on, developmentally appropriate lessons, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment, and building strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues. Key duties include observation-based assessments, ensuring classroom safety and organization, and participating in ongoing professional development.

ABOUT THE COMPANY

At Inspire Kids Montessori, you’ll become part of a close-knit community that is united by a shared mission: to nurture the whole child—socially, emotionally, academically, and physically—in a collaborative and enriching Montessori environment. We don’t just teach; we cultivate wonder, spark curiosity, shape the future, and create a lasting impact on our students. This is more than a job. It’s a chance to belong, grow, and lead together.

OBJECTIVES

  • Design and implement Montessori-based, hands-on lessons that align with toddlers’ developmental milestones.
  • Create a nurturing classroom environment that fosters exploration, creativity, independence, and joyful learning.
  • Observe, assess, and adapt instruction to support individual student growth and provide early interventions when needed.
  • Maintain open, respectful communication with families and colleagues to build strong, supportive relationships.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and organized classroom in compliance with school policies and licensing requirements.
  • Supervise students actively and consistently to promote physical and emotional safety.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators to co-create an inclusive curriculum and cohesive school culture.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices and Montessori philosophy.

COMPETENCIES

  • Demonstrates deep enthusiasm for early learning and a strong commitment to Montessori philosophy and practices.
  • Possesses a clear understanding of toddler developmental stages and applies that knowledge to support growth and learning.
  • Effectively nurtures children's autonomy, emotional intelligence, and natural curiosity through intentional guidance and modeling.
  • Thrives in a collaborative environment with a positive, solution-focused mindset that supports shared goals and teamwork.
  • Communicates clearly, respectfully, and empathetically with children, families, and colleagues to build trust and foster strong relationships.
  • Maintains a safe, welcoming classroom that values diversity, promotes respect, and upholds inclusive practices for all learners.
  • Works well in a team-oriented environment, contributing to curriculum planning and maintaining a unified school culture.
  • Demonstrates commitment to continuous learning, professional development, and reflective teaching practices.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years of experience working in an early childhood education setting.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Knowledge of or certification in Montessori philosophy (preferred but not required).
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
  • CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
  • DPS Fingerprint (IVP) Clearance Card or willingness to obtain
  • Documentation of Negative TB Test or willingness to obtain

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds (e.g., children, classroom materials).
  • Capable of frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, and sitting on the floor to engage with children at their level.
  • Able to stand and walk for extended periods during the day.
  • Physically able to assist in cleaning and maintaining classroom materials and environments.
  • Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions as part of daily routines and activities.
