Position Overview

Genesis Christian Academy is seeking dedicated, Christ-centered teachers to join our ministry of education. As a GCA teacher, you will guide students not only in academic excellence but also in biblical truth, helping them grow spiritually, socially, and emotionally. This is a meaningful opportunity to pour into the next generation while working in a supportive, faith-filled environment.

Training in our curriculum will be provided for all new hires . While familiarity with the Abeka program is a plus, it is not required. We will equip you with the tools, support, and mentorship you need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

• Instruction & Curriculum Delivery: Plan, prepare, and teach lessons in accordance with the Abeka curriculum, integrating biblical principles into every subject area.
• Classroom Management: Establish and maintain a positive, structured, and Christ-centered classroom environment that encourages respect, responsibility, and a love for learning.
• Student Support: Differentiate instruction to meet the varied academic levels and learning styles of students, providing additional help when needed.
• Assessment & Feedback: Regularly assess student progress through quizzes, projects, and other evaluations; provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents.
• Spiritual Guidance: Incorporate Scripture, prayer, and discussions into daily classroom life, modeling Christlike character in all interactions.
• Parent Communication: Build strong partnerships with parents through regular updates, progress reports, and conferences, fostering open and respectful communication.
• Collaboration & Teamwork: Work closely with fellow teachers, administrators, and staff to support school programs, events, and ministry efforts.
• Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training sessions, staff meetings, and professional growth opportunities to continually enhance teaching skills.

Qualifications

• A clear testimony of personal faith in Jesus Christ and a commitment to live out biblical values.
• A passion for Christian education and a desire to disciple young hearts and minds.
• Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
• Minimum requirement: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a ministry-minded team.
• No teaching certification required; training on the Abeka curriculum will be provided.
