St. Joseph Catholic Church in Farmington, MO, is seeking a Teacher whose primary purpose is to inspire, engage, and change lives by authentically living and teaching the Faith.

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Evaluate student progress using assignments, quizzes, projects, and exams, and offer timely and constructive feedback.
• Create and maintain a positive, respectful classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Participate in parent-teacher conferences, school meetings, and professional development activities.
• Design and execute detailed lesson plans for English and Literature that align with state standards and the school curriculum.
• Maintain an accurate record of students' grades, attendance, and other essential data.
• Encourage students to develop and advance reading comprehension, communication skills, and critical thinking, writing.
• Work together with colleagues and school administration to promote positive relationships with parents, students, and the school community.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Teaching certification in Missouri for applicable grades or ability to obtain it.
• Passion for working with middle school students and helping them succeed academically and personally.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in using educational technology and learning management systems.
