The role involves delivering products to stores on established routes or via dynamic dispatch, including convenience stores, gas stations, small supermarkets, and drug stores, with an average of 15-20 stops per day.
Responsibilities include driving the delivery vehicle, unloading products, stocking store shelves, building displays, setting up promotional materials, generating invoices, and daily settlement of cash and charges. The role requires frequent interaction with store management.
This position is labor-intensive, involving lifting, loading, pushing, and pulling a high volume of cases (20-45 pounds each), as well as reaching, squatting, and bending during deliveries and merchandising in various weather conditions. Long work hours may be required during peak seasons.
Primary Accountabilities
- Deliver products, serve customers, and execute promotions across multiple stores daily.
- Operate trucks requiring an appropriate CDL license, including maneuvering in tight spaces.
- Service scheduled customers by the end of each shift.
- Merchandise and rotate products to local standards, build displays, and maintain shelves.
- Move products using pallet jacks, hand trucks, and breakdowns.
- Establish positive relationships with primary contacts at each account.
- Follow operating procedures and DOT regulations.
- Maintain regular, reliable attendance.
