Joey Driver Opportunities
Joey is currently recruiting pickup truck, cargo/sprinter van, and box truck owners to make local deliveries within the Joey Driver app. Often referred to as the Uber or DoorDash for personal items and purchases, driving with Joey offers some pretty cool perks.
What to Expect Driving with Joey
- Access to available local delivery requests
- Freedom to choose your deliveries
- Schedule deliveries at mutually convenient times
- Be your own boss with flexible hours — work when you want, as often as you want
- Weekly pay on Tuesdays as 1099 contractors
- Live phone and text support for questions or issues
- Common deliveries include furniture, DIY projects, auction pickups, small packages, donations, and storage moves
Driver Pay
Drivers are paid based on vehicle type and delivery duration. All deliveries (except Courier) have a minimum of 1 hour pay, regardless of actual time. Courier deliveries have a minimum of 30 minutes.
Example: A customer needs a sprinter van to deliver a lounge chair. The delivery takes 36 minutes. The driver earns a minimum of $45, plus tips (drivers keep 100% of tips).
How to Get Started
- Download the Joey Driver app and register
- We will call you once registered
- Complete background and Motor Vehicle report
- Verify required items at getjoey.com/items
- Non-courier drivers need a dolly, ratchet straps, and moving blankets. Joey will reimburse these after 25 drives.
- Most drivers are verified and ready to drive within 3-5 business days, depending on background check completion.
Driver Requirements
- Must be over 18 years old
- Valid driver’s license required
- No felonies or substantial traffic violations
- Minimum state insurance
- Ability to lift 75 lbs
