This role involves delivering products to stores on established routes or via dynamic dispatch, including convenience stores, gas stations, small supermarkets, and drug stores, with an average of 15-20 stops per day. The driver unloads and brings products into stores, maintains stock on shelves, displays, vending equipment, and coolers, and sets up promotional materials. Responsibilities also include generating invoices, settling cash and charges daily, and interacting with store management.
This position is labor-intensive, requiring lifting, loading, and pushing/pulling cases weighing 20-45 pounds repeatedly. It involves reaching, squatting, bending during deliveries and merchandising across various weather conditions. Long work hours may be necessary during peak seasons.
Primary Accountabilities
- Deliver products, serve customers, and execute promotions across multiple stores daily.
- Operate trucks requiring an appropriate CDL license, including driving and maneuvering in tight spaces.
- Service all scheduled customers by the end of each shift.
- Merchandise, rotate, and maintain store displays according to standards.
- Use pallet jacks, hand trucks, and breakdowns to move products.
- Build positive relationships with store contacts.
- Follow operating procedures and DOT regulations.
- Maintain reliable and predictable attendance.
