Delivery Driver – Cardinal Health
Join Cardinal Health as a non-CDL Delivery Driver with Nuclear Pharmacy Services. This full-time role involves delivering radiopharmaceutical medications to healthcare facilities on an assigned route using a company vehicle, ensuring safety and accuracy, and complying with regulatory standards.
Overview
The position focuses on preparing, packaging and delivering radiopharmaceuticals and related materials to customer accounts, with a strong emphasis on safety, accuracy and timely deliveries.
Responsibilities
- Prepares and makes deliveries to customer accounts on an assigned route using a company vehicle (non-CDL).
- Packages radiopharmaceutical medications for shipment, performs testing, and loads/unloads containers.
- Uses a handheld tablet to scan orders, obtain route stop information and navigation.
- Verifies labeling accuracy on outgoing shipments.
- Maintains vehicles in proper working condition and performs minor roadside repairs as needed.
- Maintains logs and vehicle inspection records; adheres to safety standards and DOT regulations.
- Participates in required training (e.g., biohazard waste handling, radiation safety, HIPAA, fall prevention, ergonomic safety, safe driving procedures, route optimization).
- Assists in packing doses for shipment and loading/unloading containers in accordance with safety standards.
- Provides timely and accurate deliveries to Cardinal Health customers using the most safe and efficient routes.
- Performs general facility cleaning and other duties as required to support pharmacy operations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent (or equivalent work experience).
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Minimum of 18 years of age due to driving a company-owned vehicle.
- Prior delivery driving experience is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Comfortable driving in all weather conditions, day or night.
- Ability to sit, stand, be mobile and operate a vehicle for extended periods.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work weekends or be in a weekend rotation; ability to work holidays or be in a holiday rotation; ability to work on-call or be in an on-call rotation; flexibility to work various shifts or overtime as needed.
- Ability to use computers and tablets.
Schedule and Pay
40 hours per week. Typical schedule is Monday through Friday from 3:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. PRN coverage may require shifts from 2:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and weekends from 2:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. Candidate must be flexible to work different days, hours and schedules based on business need.
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour
