This position involves delivering products to stores on established routes or via dynamic dispatch to various retail locations such as convenience stores, gas stations, small supermarkets, and drug stores, with an average of 15-20 stops per day. Responsibilities include driving the delivery vehicle, unloading products, and bringing them into the store. The role also entails ongoing rotation and stocking of products on store shelves, displays, vending equipment, and coolers. Building displays and setting up promotional materials like signage and banners are also part of the job. The driver generates invoices and handles daily settlements of cash and charges, with frequent interactions with store management.

This is a labor-intensive role requiring lifting, loading, and pushing/pulling a high volume of cases (20-45 pounds each) multiple times daily. It involves reaching, squatting, and bending during deliveries and merchandising, often under varying weather conditions. During peak seasons, such as summer, long work hours may be necessary.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Deliver products, serve customers, and execute promotions at multiple stores daily.
  • Operate trucks requiring an appropriate CDL license, including basic driving functions and maneuvering in tight spaces.
  • Service all scheduled customers by the end of each shift.
  • Merchandise and rotate products according to local standards, including filling shelves, building displays, and removing outdated products.
  • Use pallet jacks, hand trucks, and breakdowns to move products to and from trucks.
  • Establish positive relationships with primary contacts at each account.
  • Follow operating procedures, including scan-in/scan-out and route adherence.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, building rapport and attentive to their needs.
  • Comply with DOT regulations.
  • Maintain regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
