The individual selected for this role will be expected to work at Store #3879, located at: 2308 Concord Road, Lafayette, IN 47909.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver products to customers from Sherwin-Williams stores using Company vans or pick-up trucks; ensure deliveries are complete, packed correctly, and safely delivered to the correct customer
  • Be accountable for customer satisfaction and for transporting items in a safe, timely manner
  • Interact with customers, including handling questions and complaints, and maintain professional conduct
  • Adhere to assigned routes and time schedules; comply with all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record
  • Load customer orders properly on the truck; ensure appropriate forms are completed
  • Load, transport, and deliver items to customers in a safe, timely manner
  • Maintain the store vehicle and alert the supervisor to repair and servicing needs
  • Prepare reports and other documents related to deliveries
  • Operate equipment and machines as needed (e.g., cars, trucks, forklifts)
  • Perform other tasks in the store, including warehouse duties, tinting, and mixing customer orders and assisting customers

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship now or in the future
  • Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver’s License
  • Must be able to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion
  • Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED
  • At least one year of experience in delivery, retail, or customer service
  • Experience using material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, order pickers, etc.)
  • Previous work experience selling paint and paint-related products
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language (Spanish preferred)
