STONE WHEEL INC. is a division of Parts Authority, a leading national distributor of automotive replacement parts, tools/equipment and transmissions. Bridgeview, IL. Hourly Rate: $15.00. Parts Authority is rapidly expanding and has more than 300 locations nationwide.

We have newly created career opportunities for Delivery Drivers with a company vehicle provided.

Responsibilities

• Load, transport, and deliver items to customers or businesses in a timely, friendly and courteous manner.
• Review orders before and after delivery to ensure orders are complete, charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied.
• Take and follow directions from dispatcher, adhere to routes and schedules, use navigation apps, and know the area to deliver on time.
• Assist with loading and unloading items from vehicles without interfering with operations at customer sites.
• Provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and professionally handle complaints and concerns.
• Abide by transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
• Accept payments, prepare reports (invoices, return forms), reconcile money related to deliveries.
• Complete daily maintenance checks on company delivery vehicle and notify management of issues when applicable.
• Assist in other store/warehouse duties (stock, parts pulling, etc.) as assigned.
• Maintain and promote workplace safety.
• Secure and transfer cash or other assets as required.

Qualifications

• Current, valid driver’s license
• Must meet company insurance requirements — drivers must be 21 years old or over
• Current valid automobile insurance with your name on the policy
• Ability to lift, move, push and pull up to 50 pounds; prolonged sitting (Auto Body Parts Collision Drivers must be able to lift 75 lbs)

• Ability to manage, track and account for money transactions and reconcile customer credit and debt balances
• Ability to utilize a tablet and/or mobile device for navigation, route optimization, tracking and customer interface/signature capture
• Exceptional customer and verbal communication skills
• Ability to take and follow directions and work well with others
• Flexible schedule with overtime as needed (preferred)
• Previous delivery driving experience is a plus
• Must meet all minimum requirements to drive for Parts Authority
