Position Overview


This is a tipped position. Delivery drivers are responsible for assisting with local deliveries. Maintain contact with the restaurants to receive delivery and/or pickup instructions. Deliver orders in a safe, timely, and professional manner representative of the high standards of JRCE.


Reports to: General Manager


Essential Duties And Responsibilities



  • Record completed delivery orders accurately and immediately after receipt into POS system.

  • Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles.

  • Picking up and delivering at set locations

  • Review orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the guest is satisfied.

  • Operating and maintaining vehicle in safe and clean condition.


Physical Requirements



  • Be able to work in a sitting while driving, standing, and walking position with frequent changes between positions.

  • Ability to stand and walk during 8 to 10 hour shifts.

  • Ability to lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 50 pounds and place items on high and low shelves.

  • Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods.

  • Reinforce good driving behaviors by wearing seat belts at all times, never use handheld cell phones while driving, avoid allowing others in the vehicle, and obey all traffic laws.


Training And Experience



  • Must be flexible to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the restaurant. Must be able to perform all related duties as assigned. Must be able to legally prove age of at least 21 years.

  • Need access to reliable transportation to make deliveries.

  • Possess a valid state driving license.

  • Strong time management and hospitality skills.

  • Possess a cell phone to use for calling guests upon arrival.

  • Be capable of reading a map and interpreting GPS directions.

  • Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and make change.

  • Have exceptional grooming and hygiene habits.


Any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Prior hospitality experience preferred. Needs to be flexible, self-motivated, and positive and have a professional attitude towards guests, co-worker and management. Must also be able to perform all related duties as assigned.
