How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
As the "face of Airgas," the Local Delivery Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently delivering compressed gas cylinders to local and regional business customers from an Airgas branch or plant location using a company-provided straight or box truck. The Local Delivery Driver loads, unloads, delivers, and returns compressed gas cylinders while frequently interacting with Airgas customers.
As a Local Delivery Driver at Airgas, you will be part of a professional team that encourages internal mobility and offers a work/life balance. Airgas operates a modern, efficient fleet, with most vehicles under 6 years old, equipped with driver-friendly technology such as On Board Computers, collision avoidance, latest camera tech, and GPS navigation.
Position Title: LOCAL DELIVERY DRIVER
Location: Ogden, UT
Schedule: Monday - Friday, local deliveries. Home Daily!
Vehicle Requirements: Straight Truck - Class A or B CDL with Hazmat Endorsement required.
In particular, you will:
- Drive trucks over established routes to deliver and sell products, including:
- Deliver gases and hard goods to customers’ businesses.
- Perform non-route deliveries as needed.
- Write customer orders and instructions.
- Record sales or delivery info on daily records.
- Listen to and resolve service complaints.
- Distribute sales promotion materials.
- Collect or pick up empty containers or rejected merchandise, load trucks.
- Obtain customer signatures for pickups/deliveries.
- Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, document deficiencies, ensure safety items are functional.
- Follow all company policies and DOT requirements.
- Assist inside the retail branch with customer service at dock, front counter, and over the phone.
- Attend safety meetings as scheduled.
- Assist other drivers as needed.

Are you a MATCH?
- At least one year of Class A or B CDL driving experience within the last 5 years or graduated from an accredited driving school.
- Class A or B CDL with Hazmat endorsement (can be obtained post-offer).
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Current Medical Examiner's Card.
- Ability to read and understand safety data sheets.
- Ability to lift 25-75 lbs routinely; occasionally over 125 lbs with equipment.
- Ability to drive hazardous cargo for up to 8 hours, with frequent bending.
- Work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.
- Occasional overtime may be required.
