The Driver Lead is responsible for delivering product to small and large format accounts on a predetermined route for advance sales, maintaining strong customer rapport, quality service, and effective merchandising of products. The Driver Lead will also be responsible for training all new hires for all Driving and Merchandising positions or general re-training when necessary.

Shift and Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 4:30am until route is finished
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed
• Local routes

Responsibilities:

• Deliver products to scheduled accounts in good condition and within scheduled delivery time.
• Ensure brands and packages are rotated properly to prevent past-dated products from reaching consumers.
• Manage cash/credit proceeds and products removed from inventories.
• Record transactions and convey all related cash, checks, and documents to Route Auditor at the end of the shift.
• Provide shelf merchandising to stores upon request.
• Maintain assigned vehicle in accordance with safety regulations.
• Deliver product for various routes when the normal driver or merchandiser is unavailable.
• Support or fill in for the Distribution Supervisor duties as needed.
• Participate in opening, closing, and weekend "on call" duties of the Branch.

Total Rewards:

• Starting pay at $30.60 per hour, increasing to $32.24 after 6 months.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• 2 years of delivery experience and face-to-face customer interaction
• 1 year of commercial driving experience
• 21 years of age or older
• Ability to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds repeatedly
• Valid Class A CDL
