RJ Young Company, Inc is hiring: Equipment Delivery Driver in Mobile

The Delivery Driver is responsible for the timely delivery and installation of copiers and office equipment, ensuring the correct equipment is loaded and secured to prevent damage during transit. The driver must verify equipment against paperwork to avoid errors in serial numbers. Before daily routes, vehicle checks are required to ensure proper operation and prevent issues.

Drivers should demonstrate high sociability with customers to create a helpful and courteous impression, ensure proper machine operation upon installation, and place service calls if necessary. Post-installation, drivers must communicate progress to the Logistics Manager and document returned machines, including copy counts and accessory serial numbers.

The Equipment Delivery Driver must complete a DOT exam and maintain a clear driving record.

Essential Functions

• Interface with customers regarding machine placement and usage.
• Proper loading and delivery of equipment with minimal damage.
• Accurate paperwork designation of returned machines (Blue Tag for customer machines, Red Tag for third-party), including serial numbers and copy counts.
• Maintain cleanliness and perform basic maintenance checks on trucks and in the warehouse.
• Complete and pass a DOT exam.

The work environment includes an office and warehouse setting, which is heated but not cooled. Summers can be very hot, and winters very cold.

Physical Demands

Capable of lifting 50-75 lbs.

Position Details

Full-time, Monday – Friday, with occasional weekends and overtime depending on workload.
