Position Summary

The primary function of a delivery driver is to operate a commercial motor vehicle safely and efficiently, complying with company policies and regulations, while delivering freight undamaged. Work as a team to deliver, load/unload materials, and provide excellent customer service.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Inspect truck/trailer for defects to ensure safe operation.
  • Safely load building materials onto flatbed or boom truck and unload at job sites.
  • Deliver materials as directed, prioritizing safety.
  • Maintain records for regulatory compliance.
  • Report all accidents involving driver or equipment.
  • Lift heavy building materials (up to 100+ lbs) for load/unload.
  • Provide excellent customer service with a professional attitude.

Basic Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Valid CDL, with minimum Class B; Class A preferred.
  • Clear three-year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
  • Knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations.

Physical Requirements

  • Remain stationary while driving 40% of the time.
  • Lift up to 80 lbs. frequently.
  • Move materials weighing up to 80 lbs. regularly.
  • Operate vehicles and equipment continuously.
  • Judge distances accurately during deliveries.
  • Communicate effectively with management and coworkers.
  • Work outdoors frequently while making deliveries.
