A well-established financial services firm is seeking a polished and professional Temporary Receptionist to support their Stamford office. This is an ongoing temporary opportunity with potential for long-term engagement.
Position Overview
As the Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and callers, helping to maintain a welcoming and organized office environment. This role supports the facilities team and other administrative staff and requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual with strong interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and screen visitors professionally and courteously
- Manage front desk operations and assist administrative staff
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls
- Support facilities team with vendor coordination and project assistance
- Maintain inventory and organize supply rooms
- Order and restock kitchen supplies
- Ensure common areas are clean and well-maintained
- Handle basic Outlook tasks (email and calendar scheduling)
- Multitask and manage various situations calmly and efficiently
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of receptionist or front desk experience in a corporate setting
- Strong communication skills and a polished, professional demeanor
- Ability to handle stress and remain composed under pressure
- Quick learner with a proactive attitude
- Basic proficiency in Outlook
- Friendly, approachable, and well-spoken
- High standards for presentation and professionalism
- Potential to grow into an Executive Assistant role
