Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Trophy Club is looking for a Receptionist to join our team!!

Receptionist at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Trophy Club:

  • Interface with visitors, patients, family, and physicians on phone and in person.
  • Performs clerical duties including distribution of mail and messages, chart preparation, and assisting with scanning final medical records into the virtual interface.
  • Registering and admitting patients. Scheduling of add-ons / walk-in patients.
  • Copying of identification and insurance.
  • Directing patient to appropriate area upon arrival.
  • Assist with counting down cash drawers and maintaining proper security on the drawers.
  • Assist with HIM, admissions & insurance verification when needed
  • Special tasks from Business office manager

  • One-year previous experience or some hospital clerical experience or medical terminology preferred.
  • HIM and admissions experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Good communication and people skills.
  • Excellent telephone skills.
  • Ability to screen incoming calls, adequately respond to telephone inquiries.
  • Responsible for distribution of mail.
  • Basic computer knowledge – Word and Excel preferred
