Overview

The Salvation Army’s Lawrence Corps is hiring a Receptionist and offers the following benefit package to part-time employees:

Location: Lawrence, MA

Pay Range: $16 per hour

25 hours per week

The Receptionist will maintain the image of The Salvation Army to the public and clients by greeting and directing visitors, in person or on the phone.

This job description outlines the essential duties of the role. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma
• Experience: One to two years preferred
• Skills: Professional demeanor, excellent phone skills, bilingual in Spanish and English

Physical Requirements

• Sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist as needed
• Handle office equipment and materials, including lifting up to 25 lbs.
• Travel throughout the division as required
• Be creative, intuitive, and perceptive

Responsibilities

• Answer and route phone calls courteously, take messages
• Verify visitor appointments and admit authorized individuals
• Monitor foot traffic and guide visitors
• Maintain files and office supplies
• Sort and route mail, sign for deliveries
• Assist with clerical tasks: printing, typing, copying, filing
• Refer individuals with spiritual needs to Salvation Army officers
• Perform additional duties as assigned
