Position Title: Receptionist

Location: Mount Prospect, IL

Assignment Type: Contract to hire

Compensation: $21-$23 hourly (based on experience)

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Job Description:

The receptionist will oversee front desk operations, office supply management, and coordination of office services to ensure a welcoming and well-organized workplace.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact by welcoming visitors, answering and routing calls, and assisting with general inquiries.
  • Handle daily mail distribution, including sorting incoming mail, preparing outgoing express deliveries, and dropping packages at the UPS box in the building.
  • Keep common areas such as the supply room, reception, and lunchroom tidy and well-stocked.
  • Coordinate ordering and inventory of office, kitchen, copy room, and restroom supplies.
  • Manage employee key card access, including activations, deactivations, and replacements.
  • Support new staff by providing building orientation, covering details such as parking, onsite amenities, supply request procedures, and office logistics.
  • Assist management with administrative tasks such as clerical projects, document formatting, and coordinating catering for meetings.


Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of administrative/customer service experience
  • Proficient utilizing Microsoft Office
