We are looking for a friendly and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team and be the welcoming face of our dental practice. In this role, you will handle a variety of front desk responsibilities, including greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and managing patient records. Your excellent communication skills and attention to detail will help ensure a smooth and efficient patient experience from check-in to check-out.

As a Dental Receptionist, you’ll play a key role in supporting both patients and the dental team. You’ll be responsible for coordinating with staff, answering phones, and addressing patient inquiries, all while maintaining a positive and professional atmosphere. Dental Receptionist Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and greet patients in the office.
  • Schedule or cancel appointments.
  • Assist patients with filling out paperwork.
  • Prepare the dental staff’s charts and daily routines.
  • Keep track of recent treatments and procedures and update patient data.
  • Set up follow-up appointments and send out reminders and letters.
  • Communicate with dental insurance companies.
  • Verify payment methods and collect payments as necessary.
  • Answer phones, scan, file, and fax as part of office duties.

Dental Receptionist Requirements:

  • GED or high school diploma.
  • Certification in office administration, medical administration, or a similar field is helpful.
  • Experience in a dental office is preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency with computers and fast learning of software (we use Open Dental).
  • Understanding of administrative procedures.
  • Excellent telephone etiquette.
  • Outstanding organizational skills.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities.
