JOB TITLE: Receptionist Maintenance Operations

REPORTS TO: Director of Maintenance

WAGE/HOUR STATUS: Nonexempt

PAYGRADE: Para 3

Primary Purpose

The Receptionist will Support the daily business activities of the building by answering telephones and greeting and directing guests. Assist with clerical duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • High School graduate or GED
  • 1-Year Job-Related Experience
  • Must Be Able To Communicate Effectively in English

Preferred

  • Three years job-related experience
  • Experience Using The Google Suite platform
  • Familiarity With Maintaining Social Media Platforms
  • Bilingual-Fluently Spoken and Written

  • Proficiency in the use of computer and computer applications

Major Responsibilities And Duties

  • Answer telecommunication systems for the purpose of screening calls, transferring calls, responding to inquiries and/or taking messages.
  • Performs clerical and bookkeeping duties for the Maintenance Department
  • Responsible for all timekeeping and maintaining department attendance spreadsheets
  • Greet and direct/assist vendors, administrators, and other visitors to their proper locations.
  • Reviews applicant credentials and schedules department interviews
  • Maintains supply inventory; anticipates needed supplies; places and expedites orders for supplies; verifies receipt of supplies
  • Compares invoices against purchase orders and shipping and receiving documents to verify receipt of items ordered.
  • Maintains and updates department information on all Maintenance social media platforms
  • Participate in staff development and faculty meetings as assigned.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS

The usual and customary methods of performing this job require the following: ability to work in a fast-paced, high-intensity work environment efficiently and effectively with frequent interruptions. Jobs may require prolonged periods of time sitting, reaching and repetitive hand motions; prolonged use of computers. Overtime is required as necessary.
