Position Summary

Call Center:

  • If an employee’s main tasks are dedicated to incoming calls in a Call Center environment; the primary purpose of this position is to handle incoming calls while maintaining a minimum of 93% availability of staffed sign rapidly and accurately on time during scheduled hours. Employees will meet the department specific agent expectations regarding measurement and follow the defined guidelines and processes of the department.

Front Desk

  • The primary responsibilities for employees providing support within a department are to greet patients, collect co-pays, schedule follow-up appointments and referrals and support departmental clerical duties.

Both areas will provide support to the department/site ensuring quality service through timely and courteous assistance and provide service support to patients who request our care.

Department Overview

Park Nicollet Golden Valley is seeking a customer service-oriented individual to join our frontline team.

A qualified candidate possesses great communication skills, ability to multitask, is detail oriented, computer proficient, eager to learn and grow professionally, enjoys working with patients/customers of all ages, and maintains a positive and engaging attitude.

Golden Valley is a medium sized Primary Care clinic offering Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, and Laboratory services. We also share our space with the Eye Department, including Ophthalmology, Optometry, and an Optical Store. Our frontline team is responsible for checking in/registering patients for Primary Care, Laboratory (walk-ins), and the Eye Department. Additional tasks include but are not limited to; patient outreach for scheduling and rescheduling, sending pre-appointment letters, sorting and distributing faxes and mail, and lobby maintenance. As a frontline team member, you are operating as part of the care team including, MA's, LPN's, RN's, PA's, and MD's.

Our space was renovated in 2019 and offers great amenities including; free parking, a large break room with an ice machine, filtered water, and a Keurig, a staff relaxation room, snack bar, exercise room, and beautiful views overlooking the Brookview Golf Course! It truly is a wonderful environment to work in.

Experience Working In Medical Setting Preferred.

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, generally between 8a-5p

Required Qualifications

  • 6 months related experience
  • Accurate computer/keyboarding skills required.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
  • Must be proficient in the operation of the following types of equipment: telephone and headsets, PC, printer, photo copier and fax machine.

  • Medical terminology knowledge desirable
  • Comfort in asking patients for copays and race collection.

  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
