Overview

Medical Receptionist role at CenterWell Senior Primary Care. This position focuses on delivering courteous, efficient front-desk support and ensuring a smooth patient experience.

Responsibilities

The Receptionist receives and correctly routes incoming and outgoing telephone calls and accommodates visitors so that all callers/visitors are attended to promptly, courteously, and accurately. The Receptionist performs basic administrative/clerical/operational/customer support tasks and typically works on routine and patterned assignments. The Receptionist operates a switchboard or multi-line phone system and maintains long distance call logs. Takes and distributes accurate messages. Greets visitors and determines the nature of their visit, issues visitor passes and maintains visitor logs, alerts appropriate party of visitor arrival or directs visitors to appropriate office, department or employee. Responds to routine inquiries from internal or external sources such as the organization’s location, hours of operation, phone numbers, and/or email address. Additional responsibilities may include miscellaneous administrative activities such as booking meeting rooms, typing, organizing and distributing mail, receiving and sending courier packages. Decisions are limited to defined parameters around work expectations, quality standards, priorities and timing, and requires close supervision and adherence to policies/practices with limited deviation.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year or more of experience in a Healthcare setting preferred, but candidates with strong Customer Service in Retail, Hospitality, Call Centers, etc. will be considered
  • Passion for contributing to an organization focused on improving patient experiences and care
  • Excellent customer service and phone etiquette
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and highly organized
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Value-based care model experience
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology
  • Experience with EMR Systems (Electronic Medical Records)
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish

Additional Information

This role is patient-facing and participates in the company's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected, you will be screened for TB.

Salary and Schedule

  • 40 hours per week
  • Pay range: $38,000 - $45,800 per year
  • This role is eligible for a bonus incentive plan
