Caregiver Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Caregiver to provide excellent care to our clients. You will travel to the client’s home to provide personalized care. Job duties include helping them to bathe, go to the bathroom, prepare and eat meals, get dressed, light housekeeping, and providing general companionship. For some clients, you will also transport them to appointments and remind them to take medications. Our primary goal is to improve the daily lives of our clients.. Just because our office is located in St. Joseph, we staff Van Buren, Case, and Berrien counties we try our best to staff bases on where you are located.

Caregiver Duties and Responsibilities

• Work with a variety of clients, such as the physically disabled, cognitively impaired, chronically ill, and elderly
• Cook, dress, bathe, and assist clients in using the restroom
• Picking up heavy objects and performing housekeeping tasks
• Remind clients to take medication
• Transport clients to appointments or outings

Caregiver Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience as a caregiver a plus
• Attend training and pass a standardized exam
• Knowledgable in basic emergency and safety techniques
• Be in good physical condition
• Reliable transportation
• Flexible schedule
