Job Summary

We are looking for compassionate caregivers with an A-Team Caregiver attitude! The ideal candidate will have a caring heart, be friendly, flexible, reliable, and capable of providing various levels of skilled support to our clients. We are especially interested in bi-lingual and live-in caregivers, retired teachers and nurses, daycare workers, as well as caregivers residing in or near the New Orleans area and the River Parishes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal hygiene for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries, or accidents, including showering, bathing, and dressing.
• Remind clients to take their prescribed medications.
• Assist with mobility around the house or outside, such as doctor’s appointments or walks.
• Help with meal preparation and assist with feeding if necessary.
• Complete shopping errands or accompany clients to shop.
• Perform light housekeeping duties.
• Report any unusual incidents and respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience with verifiable references is required.
• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting and eager to learn new skills.
• Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation daily.
• Demonstrated ability to act compassionately and supportively.
• Availability to work various shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.
• Experience in healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care for at least one year.
• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards.
• Supportive and compassionate attitude.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; experience as a caregiver is a plus.
• Hoyer Lift experience specific to client needs is preferred.
