Caregiver Job at Village Caregiving - Rochester, MN in Northfield

We are looking for a Caregiver to join our growing team. The right candidate will have a strong healthcare background. Responsibilities include planning and preparing meals, assisting with mobility, and providing personal hygiene support.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with personal hygiene for elderly or recovering patients, including showering, bathing, dressing, and eating.
• Remind clients to take medication and assist with ambulation.
• Help with mobility around the house or outside, including doctor’s appointments and walks.
• Plan and prepare meals.
• Assist with physical therapy exercises.
• Complete shopping or accompany clients.
• Perform housekeeping duties.
• Report incidents and respond to emergencies responsibly.
• Assist with daily activities, including serving meals.

Qualifications:

• Enjoy working one-on-one, eager to learn new skills.
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Compassionate and supportive attitude.
• Availability for different shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Minimum 1 year experience in healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care.
• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards.
• High School Diploma or equivalent, or experience as a Caregiver, CNA, or HHA.
• Supportive and compassionate nature.
• Experience with Hoyer Lift (if applicable).
