Role Overview:
As a Marketing Manager at Jay Goldberg Events & Entertainment, you are responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies across a diverse portfolio of concerts, club shows, and multi-day music festivals including The Canopy Club, Summer Camp Music Festival, and more. This role oversees all aspects of event marketing from creative direction and digital advertising to email, sponsorship activation, and public relations – ensuring successful show promotion and brand growth across multiple markets. A strong attention to detail, the ability to juggle multiple deadlines, and a love for problem-solving are key traits that will lead to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage full-cycle marketing campaigns for 100+ annual events ranging from 400-capacity club shows to 20,000-attendee festivals such as Summer Camp Music Festival.
• Oversee paid advertising strategy across Meta, Google Ads, YouTube, TikTok, OTT, and local/regional platforms. Tracking all spends on a per show and macro basis.
• Manage the creative process for digital and print materials, ensuring consistent brand identity across all assets. Often designing content for social media and events yourself.
• Develop and execute overall social media content strategy utilizing copywriting skills to cater to each relevant audience demographic. Manage events, stories, & moderation.
• Coordinate email marketing strategy, audience segmentation, and performance tracking via Hive.
• Collaborate directly with artist teams, managers, publicists, and agents to secure promotional assets and execute strategic cross-promotion.
• Analyze purchasing trends to optimize pricing, timing, and targeting decisions across marketing channels.
• Maintain all company and event websites, ensuring content is accurate, timely, and optimized; coordinate with internal or external web development teams to execute updates, troubleshoot issues, and implement new features as needed
• Manage and mentor a team of marketing managers, interns, and street team leads
• Plan and execute PR efforts including press releases, media outreach, and day-of-show media coordination.
• Support sponsorship efforts by developing deliverables, managing branded integrations, and compiling post-event recaps.
• Collaborate with the operations, booking, and production teams to ensure smooth marketing integration into overall event planning.
• Stay current on music industry trends, emerging platforms, and best practices to continuously evolve marketing strategy.
Qualifications:
• 2-3+ years of experience in event marketing, entertainment, or a related industry
• Proven track record of managing high-volume, multi-channel campaigns
• Strong design sensibility; experience with Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva
• Expertise in digital advertising platforms (Meta Ads, Google Ads, TikTok Ads)
• Excellent copywriting, project management, and organizational skills
• Experience with CRM/email platforms (Hive), analytics tools, and social scheduling platforms
• Deep passion for live music + strong knowledge of diverse genres and fan communities is a plus
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights/weekends during events or festivals
