Job Description

The primary role of the Maintenance Technician is to provide maintenance support to our plant operations to meet quality standards and safety codes, and to execute our maintenance programs. The technician must identify, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and other problems, run tests, isolate issues, replace failed components, and study worn parts to determine failure modes.

This position is ideal for someone with maintenance experience who wants to work for one of the world's most admired companies.

Responsibilities

  • Perform skilled maintenance and repair of facility or production plant systems, including mechanical, electrical, and building systems.
  • Conduct building repairs such as outdoor lighting, doors, drywall, ceiling tiles, insulation, and piping.
  • Perform facility preventative maintenance as directed.
  • Plan and execute facility build-outs, including framing, drywall, concrete work, flooring, roofing, electrical, and inspections.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed safely, meeting quality, GMP, and cost objectives.
  • Comply with SOPs and quality system requirements.
  • Coordinate with contractors and track activities.
  • Complete lift training and operate forklifts and high-reach equipment safely.
  • Utilize CMMS systems to track work, troubleshoot production lines, and maintain equipment.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical degree preferred.
  • Achieve a passing score at the Tech 1 level of the Maintenance Technician test.
  • 3-5 years of manufacturing maintenance experience, including troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, mechanical, electrical, lubrication, fabrication, pneumatic, and hydraulics.
  • Own hand tools required.
  • Welding experience and blueprints interpretation preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and experience operating industrial equipment.
  • Ability to understand safety data sheets and maintenance documentation.
  • Proficiency with computer software such as CMMS (Maximo).
  • Certification as Refrigeration Operator (CARO, CIRO) through RETA within six months of start.
  • Ability to work shifts of 8, 10, or 12 hours, including overtime.
