ESC has an exciting opportunity for an Online/Digital Marketing Generalist to drive both customer- and seller-facing campaigns that support our premier client’s artisan community. This is a unique opportunity to help small businesses thrive on a platform dedicated to handcrafted, high-quality products.

As part of the client’s NA Stores Marketing Team, you’ll manage high-impact digital campaigns for events like Back to School, Labor Day, and Holiday, while also crafting communications that support and educate Handmade sellers through newsletters, forums, and webinars. This is a cross-functional role starting as a 4-month contractor, working onsite in Seattle, with high visibility and the opportunity to collaborate across multiple internal teams and tools, offering excellent exposure to the ecosystem and potential for long-term conversion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute customer-facing marketing campaigns for Handmade, including product curation, onsite merchandising, and event- and deal-driven landing pages
  • Create seller-facing communications including monthly newsletters, webinar content, and forum posts
  • Own the performance reporting of campaigns using tools such as SQL, Tableau, and Excel, turning data into actionable insights
  • Analyze key metrics such as CTR, conversion rate, and WoW sales to optimize campaign effectiveness
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams across design, product, analytics, and category management to launch and scale campaigns
  • Manage content creation tools like Arborist, Content Symphony, Sophia, and Daily Orders

Typical Day in the Role

  • Create and optimize digital placements for upcoming campaigns and promotions
  • Analyze daily sales data and refine marketing strategy accordingly
  • Draft and review seller communications (newsletters, announcements)
  • Collaborate with team members in marketing and merchandising on cross-channel initiatives
  • Flex between different priorities based on business needs (fluid day-to-day)
  • Tools used: SQL, Excel, Tableau, Amazon’s internal CMS and merchandising platforms

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in online digital marketing or merchandising (e.g., Amazon, Starbucks, Nordstrom, Expedia)
  • Strong campaign experience in digital content merchandising, email/newsletter marketing, and eCommerce analytics
  • Fluency in analyzing digital performance metrics (CTR, WoW, sales) in Excel
  • Experience with weekly business reporting and creating actionable insights
  • Familiarity with Amazon platforms and customer-facing campaign workflows
  • Tools: Arborist, Content Symphony, Sophia, Daily Orders, SQL, Tableau, Excel
  • Strong writing and communication skills for both internal and external audiences

Preferred:

  • Experience in B2C digital campaigns with a retail or eCommerce brand

Disqualifiers (Do NOT apply if):

  • Your background is in event planning, field marketing, or person-to-person marketing
  • You do not have digital campaign or online merchandising experience
