We’re looking for a Customer Marketing Manager to help us unlock growth within our existing customer base. This role is critical to our expansion strategy and will focus on delivering campaigns, content, and programs that drive adoption, upsell, retention, and customer happiness.
Job Overview
The Customer Marketing Manager will own the strategy and execution of programs that help our customers get more value from Nectar—and ultimately expand their usage of the platform. This role will sit at the intersection of Product Marketing, Customer Success, and Customer Advocacy, with a strong emphasis on cross-functional collaboration and lifecycle thinking.
You’ll play a lead role in planning and launching expansion campaigns, creating engaging customer communications, and delivering educational content that empowers admins and end users. You’ll also support efforts to reduce churn by identifying usage risks and deploying targeted “save” strategies.
Success in this role means helping customers move from adoption to advocacy—and from single-product users to multi-feature champions.
Responsibilities
Expansion Campaigns
- Plan and execute targeted campaigns that drive product upgrades, feature adoption, and cross-sell.
- Build lifecycle-based communications tailored to customer stage, tier, and industry.
- Collaborate with Product Marketing, Customer Success, and Growth to shape offers and measure impact.
- Lead monthly expansion campaign planning and manage ongoing calendar execution.
Customer Communications
- Own the monthly customer newsletter—curating product updates, tips, and best practices.
- Coordinate in-app and email communications tied to product releases, seasonal content, and feature milestones.
- Draft and maintain onboarding resources and lightweight admin toolkits.
Customer Education
- Develop a scalable customer education hub that includes videos, templates, onboarding flows, and advanced tips.
- Design content tracks tailored to different user personas (e.g., HR admins vs. people managers).
- Support webinar-based education initiatives and asynchronous learning resources.
Customer Webinars
- Manage the monthly customer webinar program—from topic planning and speaker coordination to promotion and post-event follow-up.
- Track attendance and analyze the impact of webinars on product adoption and expansion interest.
Retention & Save Campaigns
- Partner with Customer Success to identify at-risk accounts based on usage signals or renewal proximity.
- Deploy automated and manual campaigns to re-engage inactive users or reinforce value.
- Monitor the effectiveness of “save” programs in improving retention and usage lift.
Customer Insights & Surveys
- Launch targeted surveys to gather customer feedback and surface product or experience gaps.
- Support persona and packaging survey initiatives in collaboration with Product Marketing.
- Share insights with stakeholders in CS, Product, and Marketing to inform roadmap and messaging strategy.
