Job Overview
The Channel Marketing Manager - Retail & Builder is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that drive growth across national retailers, big box stores, and builder-focused segments. This role blends field marketing leadership, pro and customer engagement, merchandising execution, and builder support across a variety of channels. This role serves as the marketing lead for both retail national accounts and builder/installer segments. The ideal candidate brings experience working across retail, pro channels, and with residential contractors and builders - and is comfortable managing cross-functional collaboration, field activation, and lifecycle marketing.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute retail-specific marketing plans tailored to big box, home center, and builder customers.
- Lead media campaigns and promotional execution for assigned national accounts.
- Support builder conversion and loyalty through builder-specific tools, programs, and co-branded campaigns.
- Collaborate with Sales and Product to drive builder adoption of full product portfolio.
- Develop and scale multi-home rebate or loyalty programs that reward builder usage and product preference.
- Serve as the marketing lead in joint business planning meetings with key national retail and builder accounts.
- Customize pitch decks, promotional presentations, and incentive program materials to align with account objectives.
Pro Desk & Field Channel Enablement
- Equip retail and lumberyard pro desk teams with tailored tools and messaging.
- Support retail field teams and pro reps with event kits, marketing assets, and localized training materials.
- Align builder messaging across sales, retail POS, pro engagement, and digital platforms.
eCommerce & Product Content Strategy
- Own the eCommerce content strategy for key retail accounts, including oversight of product detail page (PDP) content, imagery, videos, and brand messaging.
- Coordinate with Digital Marketing and Product teams to ensure retail sites reflect current promotions, seasonal campaigns, and accurate SKU information.
- Monitor retailer eCommerce dashboards and performance reports to identify content gaps or optimization opportunities.
Retailer SKU Strategy & Visual Merchandising
- Partner with Product and Sales to support SKU optimization by retailer.
- Manage retail merchandising, display programs, signage updates, and seasonal campaign materials.
- Maintain alignment between product sampling, signage, and Pro Desk materials across retail partners.
Field Marketing & Event Execution
- Lead planning and execution of retail events and regional builder events, including training sessions, product demos, open houses, and co-branded activations.
- Ensure all field activations reinforce brand standards, campaign messaging, and product priorities.
Reporting & Insights
- Report regularly on retail and builder channel performance, campaign results, and marketing ROI.
- Track and report on builder adoption, loyalty behavior, and portfolio attachment metrics in partnership with analytics teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience in channel marketing, retail marketing, or builder marketing within a similar industry required
- Deep understanding of both consumer and pro-facing retail marketing strategies.
- Demonstrated experience supporting national retail accounts and managing field marketing programs.
- Experience marketing to builders, trade pros, or installer networks - including familiarity with specification, sampling, and project-based sales cycles.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and project management skills across matrixed teams.
- Proficient in CRM systems, marketing automation tools, and campaign performance analysis.
Additional Information
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $70,000-$100,000+ bonus + medical, dental, and vision benefits starting day 1 + 401k and PTO. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
