Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Electrician or Electrician Helper to join our growing team. You will play a vital role in supporting our company on a variety of projects. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are currently in the electrical trade, or skilled and looking to start a career in the electrical trade and gain valuable hands-on experience. You will assist with installations, repairs, and maintenance of electrical systems in diverse settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist electricians with the installation of wiring, fixtures, and other electrical components.
  • Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized.
  • Follow safety procedures and regulations at all times.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical problems.
  • Transport materials and equipment to job sites.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the lead electrician.
Qualifications:
  • Entry-Level Electrician: While no prior professional experience is strictly required, candidates with basic knowledge of electrical systems or related hands-on experience (e.g., construction, home repairs) are preferred.
  • Experienced Electrician:
  • Valid Journeyman or Master Electrician license in Georgia.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a licensed electrician.
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, power distribution, and control systems.
  • Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment (e.g., multimeters, amp clamps, megohmmeters).
  • Ability to install, bend and maintain various types of conduit and wiring systems.
  • Strong understanding of electrical safety regulations and procedures (OSHA, NEC).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Skills:
    • Basic understanding of electrical principles.
    • Ability to use hand and power tools.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics (a plus).
    • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
    • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
    • Good physical stamina and ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
    • Basic math skills.
    • Knowledge of safety procedures.
Education/Training:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification or apprenticeship in a related trade is a plus.
Additional Skills (Preferred):
  • Able to bend conduit.

Work Environment:

The electrician helper will work in various settings, including workshops, construction sites, or manufacturing environments, where safety is a priority. Flexibility to work indoors and outdoors, depending on the nature of the projects, is essential. The work may involve exposure to varying weather conditions and noise.
