Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring and components of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues in HVAC equipment and control systems.
  • Perform electrical testing on HVAC systems to ensure they operate efficiently and safely.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations.
  • Collaborate with HVAC technicians and other team members to coordinate installation and maintenance activities.
  • Inspect electrical systems, identify potential issues, and replace or repair faulty components as needed.
  • Provide recommendations for system improvements or upgrades.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any system changes.
  • Respond to emergency repair requests promptly.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with industry trends and new technologies.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in HVAC or electrical systems is preferred.
  • Valid HVAC electrician license, E1 is required.
  • Proven experience as an HVAC electrician or in a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical circuits, wiring, and control systems.
  • Familiarity with HVAC systems, including thermostats, motors, and compressors.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions and perform physical tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights as needed.
  • Must be able to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
