ResourceMFG is looking for Electricians in St Joseph, MI
2nd shift
Regular 40 hours per week Monday through Friday; and, additional time on weekends, holidays, before/after regular hours as required and in accordance with the terms of the labor agreement.

POSITION SUMMARY
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, machinery, and fixtures. Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes. Will troubleshoot and repair electronic and electrical control systems. Will support other trade personnel and complete work begun by another skill trades person if experienced and capable as viewed by the Company.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
· Maintain current electrician's license or identification card to meet governmental regulations.
· Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
· Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using hand tools or power tools.
· Assemble, install, test, or maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, or fixtures, using hand tools or power tools.
· Test electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using testing devices, such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, or oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
· Use a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment, such as oscilloscopes, ammeters, or test lamps.
· Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
· Inspect electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
· Direct or train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures.
· Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
· Install ground leads and connect power cables to equipment, such as motors.
· Work from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures.
· Place conduit, pipes, or tubing, inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes.
· Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
· Construct and fabricate parts, using hand tools and specifications.
· Plans new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance, and avoid unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring, consistent with specifications and local electrical codes.
· Follows diagrams or blueprints, ensuring that concealed wiring is installed before completion of future walls, ceilings and flooring.
· Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles, and installs electrical conduit.
· Pulls wiring through conduit.
· Splices wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads, twisting or soldering wires together, and applying tape or terminal caps.
· Connects wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment.
· Operates Computerized Maintenance Management System (i.e. UBK).
· Understands and completes Preventative Maintenance (PM) procedures.
· Installs control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels.
· Connects power cables to equipment, such as motor, and installs grounding leads.
· Tests continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components with testing instruments such as ohmmeter, battery and buzzer, and oscilloscope.
· Observes functioning of installed equipment or systems to detect hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
· Repairs faulty equipment or systems.
· Trouble shoots equipment to locate defective electrical components and replaces as required.
· Reads ladder diagrams and electrical prints.
· Trouble shoots and programs PLC controllers.
· Identifies spare parts required for reorder.
· Works with programmable controls such as PLC - 5,2 Slick 500 and micro logics.
· Follows all Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures as directed by the company.
· Transfers out of classification, as required by supervisor and permitted in contract, to assist or perform other qualified trades, or to be trained.
· Cleans and maintains work area and equipment.
· Supports quality system as required.
· Understand and apply proper procedures associated with Lock Out Tag Out procedures.
· Understand and apply proper procedures associated with Arc Flash procedures.
· Satisfactorily complete on/off site training so fundamental maintenance and troubleshooting activities on manufacturing-related equipment are carried out effectively and efficiently.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Competency Statement(s) Must have the ability and willingness to pass any related tests associated with earning the Master Electrician Certification for Bosch usage.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education : High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
Experience : Three to seven years related experience
