Job Description
- Install new or modified electrical installations consistent with local and national codes.
- Plan electrical installations to minimize waste of materials, and demonstrate a high quality efficient installation.
- Layout, plan, and install new installations based on design drawings, diagrams, blueprints and interrupt specifications.
- Supervise and lead a small work crews in a team environment.
- Accountable for all equipment, materials and tools on the work vehicle and job site Maintain all work sites clean and in order Demonstrate safe work habits and proper care of tools and equipment.
- Installing and repairing wiring and conductive elements and electrical components in buildings and other structures
- Testing and inspecting electrical work like wiring and lighting to ensure safe installation and compliance with regulatory codes
- Planning and designing layouts of fixtures, wiring pathways and other electrical elements inside commercial and residential buildings
- Identifying and mitigating safety hazards, code violations and other electrical issues
Must be minimum of 18 years of age Have and maintain a current, valid and in good standing Driver’s License that will meet the requirements of our insurance company. Must have a State of Connecticut Journeyman Electrical License. Physically able to work on all types of step ladders, frame ladders and all size extension ladders, man lifts, and equipment. Being able to carry and relocate tools and equipment up to fifty (50) pounds. Pass a background and drug and alcohol test. Perform work at various heights from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks or other safe work areas Work in restricted areas: switchgear rooms, manholes, vaults, trenches, utility tunnels, crawl spaces and attics or other spaces required to perform electrical work .Work 40 hour work week, overtime as required and night shifts ( if needed). Correctly identify colors for conductor phasing and voltage color code designations. Will adhere to all safe work procedures as outlined in the Enterprise Electrical Contractors Inc. Company Policy Handwork, Haz-Com Policy, and Lockout/Tag out Policy and Confined Space policy. Read and interpret: Design Drawings, Blueprints, instructional manuals, specifications, and written instructions. Communicate and process good verbal and written communication skills . OHSA30 and NFPA70E preferred safety trainings.
