Travel: Up to 1–3 weeks on the road at a time, depending on project requirements
Pay: $21–$40 per hour (based on experience and location)
Per Diem: Provided for overnight travel
Employment Type: Full-Time

About the RoleWe are seeking Traveling Electricians to support a growing Electrical Service team. This role involves frequent travel to support commercial and industrial service projects, providing troubleshooting, maintenance, and upgrades to electrical systems in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and test electrical components; diagnose and repair issues.
- Install new wiring, lighting systems, fuse boxes, and generators.
- Conduct updates for outdated systems and ensure code compliance.
- Perform and document daily project deliverables (e.g., photos, checklists, as-builts).
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical problems with precision and care.
- Train and support co-workers as needed on site.
- Ensure jobsite and electrical system compliance with federal, state, and local codes.
- Maintain high standards of safety, workmanship, and professionalism.
- Read blueprints and interpret SOW documentation.
- Operate boom and scissor lifts safely and work at heights.
Qualifications
- Active Journeyman or Master Electrician license (state-specific).
- Experience as a Lead or Foreman .
- Commercial and/or Industrial electrical experience required.
- Willingness to work on-call, including nights, weekends, and overtime.
- Strong knowledge of NEC code and industry standards.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under pressure.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Basic hand tools and PPE required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using computers for reporting.
- Ability to pass drug screen, background check, and pre-employment testing.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no DUIs in past 3 years).
- Certified to operate a boom/scissor lift.
Electrician License Requirements by StateAn active Journeyman or Master Electrician license is required unless the candidate is based in a state that does not require licensure for electricians. In such cases, please specify the electrician’s skill level and whether they are open to testing.States That Do NOT Require a Statewide Electrician License:
- Illinois
- Indiana
- Kansas
- Missouri
- New York
- Pennsylvania
Note: Some of these states may require licensure or registration at the local or city level.
