We are seeking a dynamic State Certified Journeyman Electrician to join our production-driven team, performing electrical installations and troubleshooting.
Duties & Scope
- Assemble, install, maintain, and test electrical equipment and wiring systems in commercial settings.
- Prepare work areas for equipment installation.
- Install electrical components and connect wiring as per code and specifications.
- Operate equipment only if trained and certified, including powder-activated tools and lifts.
- Set up and operate tools such as hydraulic benders, power threaders, and cable vacuum systems.
- Read blueprints and electrical drawings and install according to specifications.
- Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances.
- Secure and lock equipment after use.
- Hold a State Journeyman Electrician Certification where required or highly desirable.
- Deliver safe projects on schedule and within budget.
- Maintain excellent knowledge of Building Codes.
- Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical Demands
- Work in various elements depending on location and weather conditions.
- Wear PPE such as hard hats, safety glasses, and gloves; respirators when required.
- Work 8-10 hours per day, 40 hours per week, with overtime and night shifts as needed.
- Perform essential functions including crawling, standing, bending, kneeling, lifting objects over 50 pounds, and repetitive use of arms and hands.
- Physical work constitutes more than 70% of the job.
The starting hourly pay ranges from USD $30 to $40, depending on factors like location, experience, and skills.
