Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old and possess a high school diploma/GED.
• Possess a bona fide Journeyman certificate in the craft or documentation substantiating at least 6 years of related experience in the craft.
• Ability to perform the essential job functions and physical requirements (as listed below).
• Punctual and regular attendance.

Skills Requirements

• Mathematics - add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers and common fractions.
• Language - read and interpret safety policies, operating and maintenance procedures, emergency procedures, manuals, write routine reports, and communicate effectively with coworkers.
• Reasoning ability - apply common sense, follow detailed instructions, and interact professionally with coworkers.
• Other skills: ability to train in various job functions and interpret measuring devices such as rulers, tape measures, micrometers, etc.
• Documented electrician skills within an industrial maintenance and manufacturing environment.

Essential Physical Requirements

• Handle various tools, with weights ranging from 1-30 lbs.
• Climb heights from 1-56 feet.
• Maximum reach: 28” horizontal, 72” vertical.
• Require standing, walking, ladder and stair climbing, stooping, squatting, and frequent flexion and grasping.

Essential Job Functions

• Work from complex drawings, codes, and plans; install, test, inspect, and repair AC and DC circuits and equipment, including high voltages and electronic control circuits.
• Design, fabricate, assemble, and adapt electrical devices for specific applications.
• Perform mechanical work incidental to electrical tasks.
• Operate material handling equipment such as cranes and forklifts.
• Maintain records and work from various instructions and blueprints.
• Install and troubleshoot electronic equipment like PLCs, VFDs, soft starters, etc.
