Position Description

Under the general supervision of the Department Manager and the Supervisor/Lead, incumbent is responsible for providing support to properties managed by UCLA Housing & Hospitality Services. The Electrician will perform skilled electrical tasks on a regular and continuous basis including servicing and troubleshooting of 'Autocall/Grinnell' and 'Pyrotronics/Siemens' fire alarm equipment; and 'Blackboard' Access Control Systems. Responsible for maintaining all electrical equipment such as motors, magnetic starters, contactors, electrified panic hardware, strikes, latch, hinges. Assist with replacing air conditioning systems, drive belts, motor sleeves and pulleys. Lubricate equipment. Maintain cleanliness of equipment and electrical rooms. Maintain accurate inventory of security system equipment and parts. Complete work order log sheets and forms. Other duties as assigned.
