Location: Glenmont NY - Serving Delmar, Glenmont, Slingerlands, Loudonville, and the Capital District areas.


Hours: Full-time Day Shift


Job Summary
The Electrician will be responsible for all aspects of the installation, maintenance, inspection, operation, and repair of the electrical systems in residential buildings. This includes installing and maintaining wiring, control, and lighting systems, and inspecting electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers. Technicians will primarily respond to service calls, but will also do planned maintenance and/or installation as needed.


Qualifications

  1. High school diploma/GED required
  2. Associate degree but not required
  3. 3+ years experience in the electrical trade
  4. Self-starter, reliable, flexibility with hours
  5. Strong customer service skills
  6. Understanding of the current regulations within the field
  7. Excellent interpersonal communication skills on a technical level
  8. Able to work both independently and as part of a team
  9. General knowledge of power tools and techniques for care and safe use
  10. Maintain a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  11. Demonstrable knowledge and skills for electrical installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment
  12. Climbing up and down on ladders and equipment
  13. Heavy lifting required (50-75 pounds), ladder work, and tight space work required from time to time
  14. Ability to pick up a minimum of 25 pounds consistently and carry up to 250 feet unassisted
  15. Operate handheld power tools
  16. Wear personal protective equipment
  17. Work both indoors and outdoors
  18. Strong understanding of mathematical concepts and measurements
  19. Professional appearance and courteous personality
