Job Title: Electrician

The Electrician is responsible for all plant electrical maintenance, including repairs, installation, and fabrication. They maintain, install, rebuild, and repair equipment according to specifications and electrical codes. They troubleshoot and repair electrical wiring, PLCs, controllers, lighting controls, and electrical motors in a food processing environment.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Perform electrical maintenance, repair, and fabrication.
2. Maintain, install, rebuild, and repair equipment as per specifications.
3. Troubleshoot and repair electrical wiring, PLCs, controllers, lighting controls, and electrical motors in a production environment.
4. Manage costs for equipment and supplies within budget.
5. Stay current with electrical codes and OSHA regulations.
6. Plan new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials.
7. Ensure safety rules and regulations are followed.
8. Some post-high school education or training is beneficial.
9. Possession of a 2-3 year certificate from college/technical school is preferred; equivalent work experience will also be considered.

Wage range based on skills, abilities, and experience: $25 to $35 per hour.
