Job Details
Job Title: Electrician
Shift: 7:00am-3:30pm
Compensation: $30-$36/hour
Job Summary
Installs, troubleshoots, and repairs facility electrical distribution systems, electronics, automation, lighting, and devices. Requires knowledge of motor controls, logic control systems, low voltage systems, fire alarms, voice and data systems. Ensures quality control per the National Electrical Code, local codes, safety regulations, and EMCOR standards.
Responsibilities
- Install and connect power supply wiring, conduit, lighting, and equipment
- Troubleshoot and support automation components
- Diagnose and repair transformers, motors, MCC panels, drives, and lighting fixtures
- Maintain electrical distribution equipment at specified voltages
- Replace electronic components and maintain lighting systems
- Plan wiring layouts and install wiring and apparatus per NEC
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical utilities and equipment
- Complete accurate paperwork related to duties
- Maintain tools and inventory, keep work area clean
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Completed Apprenticeship Program; must be 21+
- 4+ years related experience or equivalent education
- Applicable certifications, licenses, valid driver’s license
- Ability to interpret safety rules, instructions, manuals
- Effective communication skills

Physical & Work Environment
Must lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, walk, kneel, and maneuver over various terrains. Vision abilities required. Work may involve exposure to mechanical parts, heights, fumes, heat, electrical hazards, noise, confined spaces, and outdoor environments. Overtime, holidays, and weekends may be required.
