Amentum is seeking an Electrician located in the Williamsburg area of Virginia. The Electrician performs a variety of electrical trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for the distribution or utilization of electric energy. The specific position will be determined during the hiring process.

Job Requirements:

• Knowledge of NEC code required.
• Ability to read blueprints, manuals, and construction drawings.
• Performs all facets of electrical installations.
• Troubleshoots equipment for electrical issues to prevent malfunctions and identify opportunities for improvements.
• Responsible for troubleshooting electrical issues, repairing, replacing, and maintaining electrical wiring and circuits on assets on the base by responding promptly to equipment breakdowns and repairing the machinery's electrical components in a timely manner.
• Knowledge and experience working with voltages up to 480 V.
• Maintain and repair all indoor and outdoor lighting systems, including associated controls, and electrical distribution systems in base buildings.
• Repair and replace motors, contacts, relays, motor starters, motor sheaves, and wiring related to HVAC equipment.
• Skilled in the use of tools common to the trade, including electric meters and hand and powered tools.
• Performs preventive maintenance for electrical fixtures throughout the base.
• Performs general maintenance tasks necessary for repair at the property.
• Responds to maintenance calls, troubleshooting, and repairing issues.
• Runs new power cables and performs project work for the base.
• Prepares estimates, man-hours, materials used, and orders items needed for job completion or inventory replacement per established procedures.
• Follows all policies, procedures, and service standards and complies with current safety and health requirements.
• Ability to work independently or in a team setting.
• Basic decision-making skills; uses independent judgment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Must be able to climb stairs and ladders, including extension ladders, repeatedly during the shift.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

• High school Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver's License.
• US citizen or Naturalized.
• Journeyman License (any state) or 3 years of experience.
• Must hold a government-issued clearance at the time of application.
• Experience with installing and troubleshooting low voltage/control wiring is highly desired.
