Job Description

IKO, a global leader in manufacturing roofing products with facilities worldwide, is currently seeking an Industrial Electrician to join our team of skilled professionals at our Clay Hill, FL plant. This plant produces premium roofing shingles and composite rolled roofing in a high-speed, continuous asphalt shingle manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be fully qualified and able to maximize plant performance through troubleshooting and repair of electrical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, maintain, and troubleshoot distribution and control equipment such as switches, relays, circuit breakers, and fuse disconnects.
2. Manage assigned work orders.
3. Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment.
4. Work in a team setting with other maintenance personnel.
5. Work with computers, line drives, and PLCs.
6. Ability to run conduit and knowledge of relevant codes.
7. Understand and comply with all safety rules, including Lock, Tag, and Verify.
8. Read and utilize technical manuals and schematics.
9. Organize work areas, tools, and parts.
10. Work with minimal supervision; manage time effectively while handling multiple jobs with varying priorities.
11. The position is subject to 24-hour call-out; shift and weekend work may be required.
12. Must be able to stand for long periods, climb stairs, and work at heights.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of five years maintenance experience in a plant setting.
2. Associate's Degree in Industrial Electrical Maintenance or Licensed Electrician.
3. Knowledge of Allen Bradley Drives, Relay Logic, PLCs, and Programming.
4. Proficient in diagnosing and testing motors and motor control circuits.
5. Experience with various instrumentation sensors and transmitters.
6. Ability to work with computer-based maintenance software.
7. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
8. Starting at: $30.41 per hour.
