Latrobe Specialty Metals, based in Latrobe, PA, manufactures high-performance specialty alloys for aerospace, energy, and other demanding markets. Acquired by Carpenter in 2012, Latrobe employs over 1,000 staff and is part of Carpenter's Specialty Alloys Operations division.

Hourly Wage: $35.15

Primary Duties

1. Inspect electrical equipment, check motor bearings, lubrication, commutation, vibration, and signs of wear. Use testing equipment to diagnose issues and determine repair strategies to minimize production downtime. Advise on shutdown needs and material requirements.
2. Dismantle, clean, repair, replace, install, maintain, assemble, and lubricate electrical equipment. Adjust equipment for proper operation. Perform mechanical and electrical repairs, including on cranes, and conduct simple rigging and scaffolding as needed. Operate machine tools and occasionally perform arc welding and cutting torch work.
3. Operate high lifts for electrical work, check fluid and gas levels, and report maintenance needs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3-5 years industrial maintenance experience preferred
• Must meet fall protection requirements
