Salary: $25-36/hour

Job Summary

Goforth Electric is seeking an Electrician for our Brockport, NY location. This full-time role reports to an Electrical Foreman and involves electrical installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance in complex commercial and industrial environments. The position also includes mentoring apprentices. Typical hours are 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with potential overtime, early starts, nights, weekends, and holidays based on customer demand.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems in compliance with the NEC code
  • Perform installations based on layout plans and specifications
  • Install conduit, lighting, control systems, motor feeders, and make motor connections
  • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components
  • Inspect systems and components for hazards or defects
  • Test electrical systems and circuits for safety and compatibility
  • Maintain the work site, tools, and vehicles
  • Follow safety procedures, participate in safety audits and talks
  • Report unsafe acts or conditions promptly
  • Collaborate with team members and mentor less experienced staff
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • OSHA 10 or 30-hour safety training, NFPA 70E, Lockout/Tagout
  • At least 5 years of commercial electrical experience
  • State-licensed Journeyperson
  • Knowledge of the NEC code
  • Reliable transportation and a valid NYS driver’s license without major infractions
